Application Process

At RE/MAX Property Shop, we process every application that is received, and all applications are presented to the property owner for consideration. Throughout this process we will require sensitive documents and we can assure you that these documents are destroyed at the end of the application process.

Please see below our office process. 

STEP ONE – Complete Tenancy Application:

Once you have inspected the property that you wish to apply for, simply download and complete the following Tenancy Application Form, if you have a pet, please complete the Pet Application Form and submit this with your application form.

Please ensure each applicant 18 years of age or over completes a separate application form.

Once you have completed your application form, you can submit your forms to us. 

As part of the application process you will also need to provide:

·             Current and previous addresses

·             Contact details for current and previous rental history

·             Contact details for current and previous employment history

·             References

·             Emergency contact and next of kin

Can I have a pet?

Pets may be considered on application, however it is at the owner’s discretion. If the property owner accepts your application with pets, there will be a clause in your Tenancy Lease Agreement to cover having a pet at the property.

STEP TWO – Application Review:

Upon receipt of your completed application we will assess the information provided, including verifying your employment, current and past rental history. A TICA (Tenancy Information Centre Australia) search will be undertaken for all parties.

In most cases this process is completed within 48 business hours. 

If there is a delay in receiving some of the information required, we will contact you to advise. 

Once approved, all applicants will be required to:

·         Pay the first two weeks rent within 24 HOURS of being approved for a property

·         Bond of 4 weeks at the rent value is required in clear funds

·         A sign up appointment time will be made directly with you

Repairs & Maintenance

At RE/MAX Property Shop we understand that on occasions a maintenance issue might arise. As part of your welcome pack, you’ll receive a ‘Repair Request Form and Checklist’. Alternatively, if you’ve misplaced the form you can
